I will try to be brief.... I have converted an AVI to DVD using X2D and all works well, but the DVD created pauses every few seconds during playback, (on a PS2). Playback on the computer is OK. I have also tried using DVDSrink to burn the DVD (after using X2D to convert the AVI) and get the same result. Technically I am not that educated, so my question is "Is the problem in the PS2, or is it because I am converting an AVI to DVD?" I have to wonder about this because I have Backed up a few DVD's using DVDShrink and they will play fine in the PS2.....
    Any thoughts??...Thanks
    Alex

its probably your media (disks) use only verbatim or taiyos
and keep your burn spped down to 4X

Thanks for your comments Philraz, but I have been using the same disks ( HP +R disks ) with the above described results. the converted AVI files are the culprits.(It seems ) Maybe my description needs more. When the PS2 plays the DVD it plays for 2 secs. then pauses for 1 sec, plays 2 secs, pauses 1 sec,.....etc stop go stop go that is what I mean. But with the same hardware and disks I can create a backup of a DVD original and play it in the PS2... no problem.
Also I tried one more at 4x and still got the same results...
    thanks
    Alex
