Hi, I sent some dvds of home video's to my cousins, but they cant get them to play on their computer because they haven't got a dvd player on it, which neither of us realised before I sent them. Is there any way that they can get them to play. For example if they installed powerdvd would that be enough, or is it only possible with a dvd drive. Thank you for your time

You have to have a DVD-ROM at least.

Nope....that means that it will play a Video Compact Disc (VCD). Totally different than a DVD.

You could always redo as an AVI onto a CD as a VCD using Nero or a similar app.
