i just found out that i can make data disks with avi files and they play in my DIVX dvd player. Now, i downloaded my first movie to try, and it played great, but had these annoying horizontal "scan lines." so for my next movie i tried converting to divX format, played, but with those annoying scanlines! i can't describe them, and they don't move, they are just stationary throughout the movie. They only show when i select an avi to play. I don't know what type of player it is, we have had it for years, and i just found this out, but i know its a philips, DIVX certified of course. i could try and take a picture of these scanlines, if you would like. I don't think its my files, i think its my player. Any help would be appreciated.
