    Hi guys,

I burned my first DVD using ConvertxtoDVD and it plays fine on my Dell laptop. When I put it in my standalone Toshiba DVD player, I get a blue screen showing the actual data files - Audio_TS and Video_TS. I can select the files with my remote, but can't play them.

It won't show me a menu at all.

Any idea of what could be wrong? I am using Memorex which I see, having read the threads, is a low-quality media. I will buy Verbatim online, but since my DVD player is reading the data off the disk, I thought it must be a technical mistake I'm making instead of a media quality issue.

What type of files are in the folders?

When I look at the dvd on my laptop, I can see all the normal bup, ifo and vob files. On the standalone dvd player, the folders actually appear to be empty - I can select the folders themselves but there is nothing inside.

It's as though the dvd player sees the folders but not the files within them? Is that possible?

Are you saying that the files are outside the folders?

No - on the standalone DVD player the only things visible are the two file folders Audio_TS and Video_TS. On the right side of the screen there are some settings controls - Filter, Mode, Repeat, that sort of thing. It almost looks like a Windows Explorer window.

Using the remote I can select each folder, but when I hit enter, there is nothing inside, just a "go up" folder to return to the main window.

On my laptop, I can see the same two folders on the DVD, but I can open them and see the DVD files inside, so I know they burned successfully.
