This question may been ask before , but I like to ask one more time . I know that there are some DVD player that can play AVI files. Now my question is: Do they make any DVD player that can play wmv files format ? Thanks in advance.
No, none that I'm aware of. This question has been asked enough times that I'd think a DVD player manufacturer would look into it, but no.
Thanks you Dunker. Yes, they should take a look at it, it takes too much time to convert from wmv to avi . Just a couple lines of code changing the firmware on the DVD player, I dont know why they dont do that, or they need authorize from MS.
According the the Videohelp.com database, there are some Sigma EM8620L-based players that *SHOULD* support WMV9. These seem to really be a dedicated home-theater PCs (HTPC) e.g. the XBOX 360. I think these are pretty new to the market. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers...=&dvdtv=&wmv9=1&chipset=&orderby=Name&hits=50 http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDnameid=4720&Search=Search&#comments http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=340292&Pn=AVLP2_DVDLA_DVD_Player
What Is This DVD Player For? If It Is For Your PC Then I Suggest A LITEON From Your Local Walmart. It Comes With Nero 6 And Cyberlink Power DVD It Handles Allmost All File Types. I Bought One And It works Great With WMA Files.
