    Hello peeps,

Can someone recommend a some DVD player software for my PC. I've got XP Pro loaded but no DVD software.

All I want to do is play the films. And, use some software, that I have, to convert them to watch on a Pocket PC (iPaq rz1710).

No pirating involved (though I know technically I am) I just want to convert what I have, onto my PC and view them as I travel about.

Great site, kind regards to all.

    Pete.

All you need is an mpeg-2 codec and windows media player.
Look around, there are 3 or 4 free mpeg-2 codecs, and once you have one of those, then just about any player will do it.

    Hi Jim,
I downloaded an MPeg-2 decoder, installed it. It did all it's stuff but Windows Media Player still said that there isn't the correct 'Codecs' installed on my PC. As you've probably worked out, I'm really new to all this DVD/Video stuff. So I really don't understand what I have to do. If I can't just click an icon and the PC do everything...I'm stumped!

    Thanks for your advice nonetheless.

I'll keep pratting about, it may work eventually.

    Regards, Pete.
