Hi, I'm having problems with my Lite-on DVD player. Recently, it has not been able to read or play DVDs, but CDs seem to work fine with it. I see the drive trying to recognize the DVD, but after about 30 seconds of failure it just gives up and pretends there's no disc in the drive. What could be the problem?
UNFORTUNATELY YOUR PROBLEM KEEPS APPEARING IN OUR WORKSHOP QUITE A LOT RECENTLY WITH DVD PLAYERS....THE OPTICAL BLOCK USED IN YOUR MACHINE IS AT FAULT.THE ONLY SURE CURE IS TO HAVE A REPLACEMENT OPTICAL BLOCK FITTED,THIS WILL CURE YOUR PROBLEM(AS LONG AS YOU HAVENT BEEN ALTERING THINGS IN THE DVD PLAYERS SERVICE MODE) REGARDS MIKE
