dvd player won't play dvd but plays copies

Samsung dvd player.

Problem is sometimes it won;t play original dvd, but it will play it if i copy it.

The player is region free.

anyone any idea's

 

Time to invoke your Samsung warranty

 

It's out of warranty.Plus i've already cracked it to play all regions.

Helpful suggestion still needed.

 

Buy a new one.. They cost about £15.

cracking it prolly didnt work right if originals wont play...

hacked firmware wasnt A1 100%

new player time maybe?

 

After cracking it, it did work Ok, originals and copies played no problems.

It's only in the last month as it started to go funny.

I've cleaned the lens,discs,but still it won't play orignal dvd film,if i copy it, then it plays.

I suspected the region was at fault, but after checking, it says region free.

So why don't orignal dvd play, but a copied one of same film will play???

 

Because "hacking"it screwed up something in the firmware. Like Varnull said, buy a new one. This is helpful !


BTW, telling the truth, albeit not necessarily what you want to hear is stil considered helpful by many.
