Do blank dvd-r have zone restrictions? If I use my U.S. burner with media blanks I buy in Europe or elsewhere, will they screw up my zone settings?

And do I understand correctly that I can read/burn a zone 0 dvd in my zone 1 burner with no complications?

    Thanks very much.

No, they don't have zone restrictions.

You can burn whatever you want!

You can buy blank media from any where in the world and not have a problem burning in your DVD writer.

Yes it is all to do with the region coding contained within the IFO file....

This coding is implemented during the 'authoring' of the dvd.....which is only done in the software you use to author it.

So as the others say, blank discs are NOT pre-authored with anything so your good.....

And as koola stated 'region 0' can be read and MADE in your burner.....
