I recently purchased a dvd+r and Im wondering if I should have gotten a -r. Ive heard alot of different things about both, like +rs playing in more dvd players. But I also heard that +rs will dye soon and no longer be available and -rs will be the standard. Can anyone confirm any of this for me? I dont know if I should return mine or not. The only bad thing about +rs to me is that the media costs more money.
THanks to anyone who can help me,

    BlackDawg,

There is a war going on, concerning DVD-R & DVD+R media, and your'e right abouyt the + media costing more. This is not expected to continue for too much longer.

That said, what hardware do you own, that plays DVD ?

The reason I ask is, if it plays DVD+R now, then I don't see waht your problem is, unless, you are looking ahead say 5 years, asking will my DVD???? still play on whateveer hardware I choose to buy ???

    Answer, not sure, don't know...

Sorry to be a bit unclear on all this, but, rest assured, whatever you choose to use, should work for the next few years, after that ???

Well, if I knew that, I'd be rich.

    Hope that helps some.
