Hi everyone I am new to this forum so i hope I am posting at the right thread. Well, here is my problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 with a DVD burner (HL-DT-ST 4040N) +RW and I tried to backup my dvds. Here is what I did: I followed this guide to the letter. http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdshrink31-main.htm after all the steps in this guide i ran nero 6. Using the DVD Video mode ,open the movie file that i shrinked and burning it to a DVD+R and DVD+RW each one ina seperate process and no luck so far. they play great in my laptop usind NVDVD but neither my playstation2 nor my jvc xvm50 stand alone dvd player(checked dvd compatiblity and this model supports DVD+R,according to dvdhelp site) can anybody please tell me what I am doing wrong? thanks for your help
apophis.... I am having very similar problems with the same burner on my Inspiron 8600. I see that you seemed to have found the solution. Could you please post what you found to work for you. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much....this is getting so frustrating.
