I have a Pentium 4 computer running Windows XP. I am using AnyDVD and CloneDVD to backup my DVDs. My DVD writer is a LITE-ON 411. I can write to a DVD+RW and it works perfectly in my DVD player. But if I write to DVD+R my DVD player doesn't recognise the disk and my computer also doesn't recognise it. (it shows in properties as 0 used and 0 available capacity). I would have expected this problem to have been the other way around. Thanks
I have tried another brand of DVD+R and it plays on the computer, but the stand alone DVD does not recognise the disk - 'No Disc' message. I have copied to a DVD-RW as well and it works perfectly. It only seems to be the +R and -R that are causing problems. Any ideas?
Have you tried a -R that someone else has burned to see if it plays in your standalone? Have you updated to Lite-on's latest firmware? Do you have another burning program to try?
