I am thinking about buying a lg gsa-h10n burner. It has the ability to record in dvd ram. I know it comes with software and nero and incd. I don't want to install incd if i don't have to. Do i need it for dvdram ? Will it work without it?
you will be able to burn to dvdram using regular burning apps like nero, however if you want to use the "drag and drop" method of transferring files over to dvd-ram discs (which is the beauty of dvd-ram), I beleive you do need incd or something similar. I'm not 100% sure as I have not used dvd-ram for several years. Its possible that winXP has native support for transferring files to dvd-ram drives. try going to the website of the burner and looking at the specs of it...it probably mentions somewhere the features of dvdram discs and whats required to use it...
No what it means is that you posted in the wrong place. So this has been moved to the "relevant forum". You dont get to it, if you are veiwing this thread then you are in it.
Okay Thanks Ripper!! While i'm here what is the best dvd-ram media? I know you guys recomend ty and verbatim for dvd+r. But i don't see a whole lot of choices for dvd-ram. Only seen memorex and panasonic
