Never mind, I figured out that you get a link via e-mail EDIT (by Pop_Smith): lol, you only have to donate once to get the non-public versions right? I donated today and was just checking to make sure i didn't have to donate again (if i don't want to) I am sure I will at a later time though.
If you're using the freeware version all you have to do is click on "Donate" under the HELP options or in the About Box. You could also go to any of these sites: http://info.dvd-rb.com http://www.dvd-rb.com http://www.dvdrebuilder.com [Edit] Fixed the last link...
Ok, I saw the link to donate, but did not see anything about getting the Pro version? Is that still available? Thanks, Rich
Yep. It will always be available for a donation $29.95 -- but until the final release of v1.00 is out a minimum donation of $10 will result in lifetime upgrades... try getting that kinda support out of M$. And when was the last time their developers answered your forum questions personally (or at all)?
Weird thing happened trying to donate using your "donate link to PayPal". Went through the entire PayPal screen process, and when it came to PAY, Paypal indicated something was wrong, but didn't say what it was. I then started from scratch with PayPal, not going through your link, and it all worked fine. However, the screens were different this time through. I hope I wasn't PHISHED. Best regards, Rich
When you say "Donate Link to PayPal" -- what link are you talking about? Are you using the one in the HELP menu?
jdobbs, I didn't think so, but the process through PayPal was much different than I am used to, and, like I said, when I went through PayPal without the link, the screens were like what I normally see. Thanks for the reply, Rich
No, the one on the right hand side of this link, http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/ That says, "Donations". I got to the above URL by clicking on the above link, http://www.dvdrebuilder.com
Hey Jerry it is interesting to know: how old are you, what is your profession, and why did you decided to make the Rebuilder. I got your pro version today. It is very interesting how an individual can make such a great program whereas companies with years of experience can't come up with anything decent. It seems there is always something wrong with US companies and the entire system. I think it is because US education is screwed up and it screws up everything made in USA - cars, many softwares, doctors, lawyers. Oh yeah, where are you from? I hope you're not a republican.
Wow... you're asking me to walk into controversy there, eh? I'm an engineer. I wrote it because I hated the terrible quality of all the transcoders and wanted something that created backups at a quality level deserving of DVD (in my opinion if you are satisfied with transcoder quality, you might as sell stick to VHS and not waste your time). I'll just walk away quietly from the political questions...
