dvd recorded programs

Hi all, i hope this is in the right place but knowing my luck its not. I have recorded some TV programs on my dvd recorder that is hooked up to the TV, can i watch them on my PC, when i put the disc in my PC it shows no files.

This may be a dumb question but i hope someone can help.

You can if you finalize the DVD disk in the recorder.
The only disk that isn't finalized is DVD-RAM disks (not all PC DVD players can read DVD-RAM disks though).
You should have no problem with DVD-R or +R or RW

Hi again can u point me to a program that u can convert and edit the dvd as i have tried some but will not recorginize the file format.
