dvd recorder hung on hello. will not access set up

    I cannot get my liteon recorder to go past the word hello.
    Please someboy help.......

    have you try unplugging it and plugging it back in. BTW wait a few seconds before you plug it back in

    Try holding the power button in for 10 seconds. On most devices it causes the machine to kind of reboot. I sometime have the same problem with my DVD Recorder and that seems to work for me.

    The usual reason for a Liteon recorder to be hung on "Hello" is that it's not recognizing the drive (or hardrive) at bootup. You may want to open the recorder to see if the drive (and/or HDD) is properly connected. If properly connected but still hangs on "Hello", the drive or HDD might be dead.

    Depending on your Liteon model, the older ones can be fitted with some PC burners. There's plenty of info on drive replacement for those older ones and their clones.
