I have some SD format programs that I've recorded from my DirecTV unit to a DVD Recorder. The program appears "squeezed" and distorted when playing back on my PC. I've found that my problem is the 4x3 flag in the .IFO file, however when using IFOEdit to change to the 16x9 flag, I'm not sure what happens, but it plays hell with any conversion program not wanting to accept the files. I've tried just about everything out there from AutoGK, FairUse, DVDx, etc. Any suggestions?
I've used Ifoedit to change PAL to NTSC. The result is not accepted by DVD Shrink. To fix it, I use the 'mock strip' procedure in Ifoedit. These are the notes I have;sadly I cannot remember where I got them to give them credit.
Cool. I will try this. Too bad I already erased the original DVD-RW I was working with, but this will surely come in handy. Thanks again!
