Dvd Region Question

    Hi team,

    I was just wondering, I have a region 4 dvd player (aus), and I want to buy a dvd that is only released in the US on region 1.

    Is there any way I can load something onto my dvd player to kill its region discrimination? Or is there no hope for me?

    Why dont u get a machine that is multi zoned soo it plays discs from all the regions :)

    Well the truth is, for simplicitys sake I just said it was for me, but actually, its for a freind of mine. His 21st is coming up and I know he wants this particular dvd, but it hasn't been released in Australia yet, but has in America.
    Is there no other way?

    is there a way u can purchase the disc that is zoned for aus??

    If not ur best bet is to get the copy that u can and the back it up and give him the backup that does not have any regional coding.

    Hmm well that is an idea.. but its a box set, so it would require alot of work. I dont think its been released in the aussie version yet. Its season 3 of that 70s show to be precise....

    well u can always find out from the aussie shops when the release date is?? otherwise ur in a pickle :)

    Pickle! God dammit, and they call this a technologically advanced age! What good is technology when I can't find a way to circumvent hollywoods attempts to stop piracy....
