   I won’t to know is it better to have a cd/DVD-rom or to have a cd re writer and a dual DVD rewriter or to have all three have any got any thoughts

   You want one of each of these two: the DVD dual layer burner and a DVD ROM. The DVD burner will also burn CD's and CD-RW's.
