for some reason, my computer shows that my optical drives are scuzzy, when they r purely IDE and when i try to do something about the DMA, there is no such option in my Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers as Primary IDE drives. for some reason i dont have primary or slave under this section in the device manager. I need help to fix this problem (how to put it from scsi to ide).
Would help if you was to say the O/S you are using ! Is this Windows Xp , Windows 98' ? Did you just mount the drives ? or they were working before? Did you think of disabling them in Device Manager and rebooting to let your O/s re-install them? Are they listed in Device Manager under "DVD/CD Rom Drives ? Are you showing a Bus Master IDE Controller ? and what type is it ? Via maybe? Details would help to HELP you !!
