DVD-ROM book type settings missing in Nero 7 Ultra

I've read everything and understand that under choose recorder you should tick on the drive and under options set book type settings to auto. Mine just says buffer underrun protection and DVD high compatibility mod and they are both checked. Also thank you Alkohol for the newbies DVD burning instruction, very nice.

 

It does it automatically with +R look at the preview pane where the information is displayed.

 

The "Booktype" setting is in there. I've used it when I've used "Recode"

 

@axlman, the idea is to help. If you know where the settings are then its just as easy to tell babyboybob.

Sorry about that... I wasn't trying to say that I know how to do it but won't tell.... Basically I was just trying to say that I know it was possible, I just couldn't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks all. appreciate the link gwendolin. My recorder has a Phillips DVD+-RW DVD8701 drive that writes DL as well. Right now all my blanks are +. Chose the recorder,options and only have the 2 choices. Alkohol says + can change to book type DVD-Rom. Jbelder you say it is automatic but I don't see the preview pane. I have 7.0.1.4 Nero Burning Rom and only see underrun protection and high compatibility mode. Alkohols screen has 4 choices including book type setting. Is this new in 7 do you think. I have written email to Nero but no reply yet. Thanks for all help though and I'll check bacy see ya'll.

 

Just talked to Nero tech support and he said with the Phillips drive it does do it automatically, thanks, talk to ya, maybe I can shake this newbie deal.
