Like I said I have a dvd.rom, and a cd.writer,and I would like to backup my dvd collection onto cd-r's. Do I need to buy a program for this? I've just downloaded dvd shrink, but dunno if it will be much help not having a dvd burner. Is there a program that I can use to backup dvd's and playstation games? Is there some kind of freeware, or will I have to pay alot? Hope I don't sound toooo stupid Thanx in advance
Well you cannot burn a DVD with a CD writer! Get a DVD writer and you can backup both Playstation games and DVDs. Of course you can convert your DVDs into VCDs, SVCDs or DivX and backup them, but you will lose quality. To see how to do that read the Afterdawn's articles and see my guides at the link below.
