DVD+RW drive and DVD-R discs

    Hi. I have a DVD Drive Dual Drives: 8x DVD+RW Drive + 16x DVD-ROM Drive. My question is whether or not my 8x DVD+RW Drive can write to DVD-R discs. I bought one brand of Dynex DVD-R and the E: drive kept telling me to please insert a DVD R/RW into the drive and then click OK. (even though the disc actually was in the drive already) Can I only write to DVD+R and DVD+RW with that drive, or can I also write to DVD-R and DVD-RW?

    Yes.

    If your drive was DVD±RW then it could write to both + and - disc's.
