Hi, I'm new so if this is in the wrong place I apologise!
I have a BTC DVDrw (ide 1008), and recently it has stopped recognising any CD-Rs (blank or otherwise).
I have flashed to the latest firmware, and have confirmed with BTC that the media I am using (Datawrite) is compatable.
Does anybody have any ideas what has gone wrong?!
Just so you know my system is
    AMD Athlon xp 1.05
    512 Ram
    80 gig hd
    windows xp pro sp2
    Thanks

U might want to try uninstalling and then re-installing the drive. I was having the same problem with my dvd burner as well. I thought it might have just been the media that I was using although I had been using the same media for quite a while with no problems. I also uninstalled the Roxio (HP DVD) burning software that came with my burner as it appeared to be causing a conflict with Nero.
