    Hello everybody!
I used to back up all my data using Nero 6 and DVD+RW without having any problem. Recently I bought DVD-RW for the same purpose (I was told that there is no real difference between +RW and -RW. But now I can not even use them at all because I keep getting the same error: Write error HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-W4161B\H1-T1.
Can anyone give me any idea if there is any change that should be done in order I can still use those DVD-RW? Is this problem related with my DVD burner (it is LG one year old) or the burning software (I use Nero 6)
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

There is some little but insignificant difference between DVD+/-R, but there is a world of difference between the video DVD-RW and the video/data DVD+RW. The limitations of DVD-RW were enough for HP, Philips, and Sony to break from the DVD Forum and establish the new format.

The DVD-RW media you are now using sound as though they are incompatible with your drive. This can happen if they are 4X and not the standard 2X. You might have to go back to the DVD+RW media you were using before or see if LG offers a firmware update that adds write support for the new DVD-RW discs you have.

    Thank you!
It seems to me that the easiest and fastest solution is to use DVD+RW instead of DVD-RW which I did yesterday and everything worked fine as before.
I appreciate your help and assistance a lot.
    Thanks
