I have DVD Santa full version and i was wondering can I convert avi and/or mpeg files to dvd format? plus how can i create a menu with dvdsanta. I tried converting and it took forever so i cancelled it, so does it work with avi and mpeg? and what is the best DVD creator? i mean avi and mpeg to DVD create with menu creation in it. I tried Nero vision xpress and nero xpress and both dont work. I tried winavi and that didnt work either? What programs do people use to create dvds? im talking about personal dvds not like retail dvds.

These are all popular programs. It's strange they wouldn't work for you. Two questions:

    1) Do you have all the needed codecs installed?

    2) Were your avis/mpegs downloaded?

I installed Kazza Lite Codecs or K-Lite Codes Full or w/e it's called. And yes, I downloaded the avis and mpegs

That figures. Kindly note that downloaded avis or mpegs often contain many errors which may not be visible upon viewing, but may affect encoding. So you may want to check for and correct errors by using e.g. DivFix (free), Video Fixer (not free, but better). Note, however, that success is not 100% guranteed, and you MUST always backup first.
    Good luck!
