DVD SAnta Help Needed - Why does the picture pause every two seconds

Hi everyone,

I have recently converted some avi files to dvd but during playback, the picture seeems to jerk/pause every few seconds.

Is there anything I can do to correct this.

How are things after encoding with DVDSanta, but before the final burning?

 

I know the file was perfect before encoding with dvd santa but I don't know what it was like after dvdsanta prepared it for burning.

Do you know what it could be?

I think the file goes jerky after dvd santa prepares the avi file for burning i.e before the burn process.

 

In that case you might first try encode with another program (e.g. VSO DivxToDVD) to see how it goes:
