WinAVI. i'd say DVD Santa is easyer to use but not by much and WinAVI is faster. WinAVI has also got the most features, you can split the outcome file to go onto as many dvds it needs. An average-length movie would need about two 4.7GB DVD-/+R/RW to get the best quality, with DVD Santa it always compresses the outcome file to fit onto one 4.7GB DVD-/+R/RW, therefore lowering the quality. The big problem with WinAVI, however, is that the Video_TS folder it creates does not play on DVD Players when burnt to DVD-/+R/RW because a .BUP file and a .IFO file are missing. the way to get around this is to convert it to an MPEG 2 file and use dvd authoring software like TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6 to add menus and stuff, then burn the Video_TS folder that porgram creates. if that seems too complicated then just use DVD Santa. I've never used VSO.
You may want to try the freeware version of VSO before buying anything: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Good luck!
