Hey. I have recently been having trouble converting my .avi files into DVD format using DVD Santa version 3.43 Build 5153. Usually within 25-30 minutes in my PC locks up, requiring a hard boot to get things going again. Did an error check and defraged my HDD and still found the same problem. Any thoughts???

    I use dvd santa 3.45 build 5242.
i use dvd santa to transcode
And dvd shrink to burn the files.
The computer may be running short on memory during the process.

Right click on the taskbar and click Task Manager. In the Task Manager, click on the Performance tab. Look at the entries in the Commit Charge frame. The Peak entry gives you an indication of the maximum amount of memory used by your computer since the last time it was started. The optimum amount of RAM is equal to this value (assuming the computer has been running for a few days and you've run your typical programs during that time). See the Limit entry. This is the total of your RAM and pagefile. The limit should be at least twice the Peak value. If you can't buy more RAM, you can increase your pagefile size to increase the Limit value.

You can eaily adjust your pagefile size go to start
    control panel , advanced, performance.

Thanks for the reply. I tried increasing my page file size a bit though it was more than double my peak value to start. While running the DVD santa I noticed that my CPU usage was red lined at 100%. Any other suggestions?
