i have made several copies of media before using decrypter and shrink, never had a problem, this time i get an error msg that reads
"DVD Shrink encountered an error an cannot continue
    Failed to read File "E:\"
    Data error(cyclic redundancy check)"

whats this and how do i overcome it?
does this mean that the disc is damaged enough to not be able to adequately make a copy of it?

This is usually due to 1 of the below...

Firmware -- Make sure your firmware is up to date on your DVD Burner.

Copy Protection -- Make sure you are using an up to date DVD ripping tool (AnyDVD/RipIt4Me/DVDFab Decrypter etc.etc.) DVD Shrink has not had an update in a while and from time to time needs help with the copy protection on the DVDs.

    Dirty Disc -- Clean it

Scratched Disc -- Buy a CD/DVD repair kit or I have used toothpaste with baking soda. Apply it where the scratch is and use a lint free cloth to rub the toothpaste into the scratch polishing the area. Make sure you rub from the inner part of the DVD to the outer part. Do not rub in circles. After you do this wash the disc off under warm water and dry with a soft lint free cloth.

If you still get the error then it possibly could be a manufacturing flaw in the DVD that you can not fix.
