Ok Here's the deal. I just got another DVD Burner, and I still recieve a similar error to wat I was getting with the other burners. do a firmware update to 1.21 found here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2331 you have DMA issues..... here is a guide to help you out: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues too much memory being used..... shut down programs running in the background, no internet, no multi tasking, and some members go as far as shutting off their anti virus programs! just because your drive can burn at 18x doesn't mean you should.... same with a car... just because your car can go over 100MPH doesn't mean you should! slow the burn to half the rated speed of the disk (8x disk burn at 4x, 16x disks burn at 8x). some members like version 6.6.1.15 ..... but there is some left over of 6.3.1.4 and that shouldn't be.... I use version 6.6.0.18 the most stablest version of Nero 6: I would update it to that version. Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html reboot and you're good to go! there is nothing there! this is weird.... should have shown WinAspi and NeroAspi and other drivers.... updating the version of Nero should correct this problem. try these fixes and then see if you have better luck.
