When I try and burn from HD to DVD-R, it stops burning after abiut 6 or 7% and asks for a ritable disc to be inserted. It burns perfectly on DVD+R and some other DVD-R discs, does anyone know why this is?
No-one has answered probably because you didnt mention writer name or the brand of -R media that you're having trouble with... (?)
Oops, sorry! My error. Im using a Sony +- writer and have some Ifiniti DVD-R 2X discs. All the other discs wether they are + or - seem to burn fine after saving movie onto HD using DVD shrink.
glenn6110, My first guess is your media, you have to come out of the bargin basement and go up to Ritek G04 or Verbatim for quality, highspeed burning. Also you might check for a firmware update flash. Use this link to search for your firmware flash - http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php Don't forget the change in media, it might be all you need.
