Has anyone found a decent program for backing up a partition image or backing up the programs much as tape used to do?? Thanks, Bob
I don"t really understand what you want But it sounds a Little Like you want to be able to Back up your Hard drive to a DVD, Is this what you want ?? So you can Reinstall windows and all you programs and setting from a DVD Image instead of doing it from Scratch??? If this is what you mean what works for me is to use Norton Ghost to make a DVD Backup of your main Partition....
I agree with Minion. Norton Ghost 2003 has support for writing direct to DVD, complete with boot-sector and restore program, the image can be spread over multiple DVDs automatically. This means you can create a backup image of a complete drive (bigger than a single DVD), even one with multiple partitions. You can get the same effect with a CD writer (uses more disks though).
