DVD to avi or mpeg

    I have a couple of dvd's i want to convert to either avi or mpeg, I use vsodivxtodvd to convert avi to dvd, but it wont reverse it (that i can find)
    Is there a free prog anywhere that will convert the Video_TS files into an avi or MPEG format? There seem to be a couple of ones with free trials, but these have been that they will only to partial conversions.

    thanks for ur reply. I actually aquired a free copy of DVD Ripper Platinum but now got a problem with it coming out as "title 1" & "title2" with multiple avi's in each title. I want the outcome as a single avi file. Any ideas?

    Don't open single vob's, open that .ifo file (if I remember correctly), and it should encode the whole thing.
