I don't know if I am in the right forum. Everything I see here is AVi to DVD. I need DVD (vob) to avi, mpeg, wmv, etc. I wanna be able to take just a clip off of a DVD and make it into a simple vieo file that I can email, put on a flash drive, etc. How do I do this?

I did search and found the following threads:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/249915
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/254895

...but I don't think these suggestions are what I need. If you could point me to some freeware that would do what I need, that would be great.

    Thanks

    I saw this on free-codecs.com

Is it true you can remove the DAE that easily and without affecting AutoGK?

Yes. You can (and should) remove it immediately.
It does uninstall properly, and you can do a scan with Adaware or Spybot to make sure.
The only other software you may want to look at is FairUse Wizard, but I think it only does XviD.
