Hello one & all, I am new to all this and need some help. I stream my avi's from my comp to the xbox 360 via WMP 11 using media sharing option, most of the avi's I have will work this way but some do not "content not supported" is there an easy way to convert these files to an Xvid avi so that they are playable. Any help would be appreachiated.
you can use avidemux open the file, then do following on the right side there are 2 sections video and audio (default is copy) instead of copy, you will be using the following video/mpeg4 asp and then configure/encoding type/2-pass video size/ then pick what the final file size you want (default is 700mb) audio/mp3 lame format on bottom should be set to avi then on top press the save button rename your new file example: movie.avi This should give you a avi compliant file using the xvid codec, which should play on most players. http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/screenshots.html
