Most software, if used correctly and with good discs.

DVD Flick is a very good one free. DVDS play well on my computer and standalone DVD player.

Freeware: DVD Flick is a nice choice.

Shareware: Womble EasyDVD is an easy-to-use yet powerful DVD authoring app.

    1. Make sure that the dvd is formatted correctly (ntsc or pal).
    2. Make sure you burn it correctly using the DVD setting on the burner. If you burn the video-ts files as a data dvd, they won't play on all dvd players.
    3. If you use low quality dvd media, it might not work on all dvd players. I use sony and verbatim, those play on almost all players. Some older dvd players prefer the dvd(-) discs.

After adding title/s(DVD Flick will process as movies when you select them and movies will play on both computer and dvd player) go to project settings and go thru each item and accept. As mentioned earlier select the "target format" ntsc or pal and in "burning" tick the "burn project to disc box and reject tray when finished". These are the only ones you may wish to process at that stage. Then go to create DVD.

It's not all just about the program that makes the DVD Video compilation, it's also about how you transfer that to discs. Do you use DVD-R or DVD+R?Some prefer one over the other. If the latter, do you set the booktype to DVD-ROM?

Like suggested above, not all players will play the disc if it is burned as a data disc, you need to burn a DVD image.

DVD Flick will easily create dvd video to play on all. It sets the booktype in the process. Add title/s-project settings-create dvd and your`e away. No problem. Give it a try.

Really? How is DVD Flick gonna set the booktype to a DVD-R automatically, or with a burner that doesn't support booktyping?

It would've been more helpful if you told us all that info, what software you used, what discs, what burner you have...

Really, you haven`t used DVD Flick. Just add title/s-project settings-create dvd. I use it a lot and play dvds on computer and standalone dvd player. It will suit the original poster. That`s all.

And the essence of the answer is, no matter what software you use to make the DVD video compilation, if you don't burn it right, ain't gonna play it right. He can choose to use DVD Flick, which is a great program, or keep on using whatever he is now, just do it the right way.

Reiteration-DVD Flick creates DVD movies successfully the way i explained. The essence of this matter is to assist, if possible, the original poster, not to elevate any other individual. I think he would be enlightened further now. That`s all please.
