I cant find a DVD player that can read .wav from a DVD+RW. I was gonna use it for nice 4 hour mixes in CD quality... but for some reason the DVD players just wont play it.... Also, DVD burner software does not allow "audio DVD burning", only audio CD. DO I HAVE ANY OPTIONS THAT DO NOT INVOLVE THE USE OF VIDEO ENCODING? ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AT ALL? its a very undocumented, obscure problem that means the consumer gets screwed. CAN I BURN MP3's ON THERE WITHOUT A TRACK BREAK (Disc-at-once style)? HELLLLLP!!!!!!!!!
Most newer dvd players will play MP3 directly from CD or DVD. That being said - take your WAV mix and encode it into CD-quality MP3 (160 - 192bps). This way you can also just use a CD and fits as much as you intended with a DVD using WAV files or you can just use a DVD with a hell of a lot of music on it. Hope this helps.
Yeah, thanks for the help. I'm still interested in this dillema of playing .wav from a DVD+/-RW..... I know DVD players can play .wav... so why not off a DVD media? Maybe they can, I have not really done enough testing... but I am doubtful at this point because of the lack of documentation or information of ANY sort regarding this conundrum. Anyone?
