DVD Wich Are Over Then 4.7gig

    OK this question maybe already up but i didn't see it.

    ok i have a dvd wich is a lot over 4.7gig.
    is there a way to copy it without taking anything out? and without bying realy expancive software?

    You can take out some sound options that aren't needed.....such as french or spanish audio. It depends on the dvd, but dvd shrink is a great tool to fiddle with a dvd. If a dvd is big, something like 6-7 gb, chances are you will have to compress it so much that the video will be pretty bad.

    I have used dvd shrink alot & I usually choose to eliminate all unwanted audio, crop if nessesary & eliminate any menu option. I just want the movie itself, which will give you the best possible video reproduction. Many times if you take out the extra audio & just keep the main movie itself you don't have to compress at all.

    DVD shrink is free, but if i was you i would extract the movie only and if you want extras put them on another disc. I only realise now how much a difference there is in qulaity between a 30% compression and no % with my new projector screen at 60".

    Thanks for the help so far

    is there any free alternative to dvd x copy as far as splitting a movie onto 2 DVD's?

    ifoedit, never actually done it, but it is a free program and can split dvd into 2 discs.
