When I record my DVD's... I make a cover for them. The DVD's work fine until I put the DVD cover on it. WHY???

Hiya vurbal, I bought a Dysan Labelmaker kit many years ago and thought it was great, but was not happy with the slight slop in the action. So I took it apart, and made a copy of it using Stainless steel tubing for the central part (with internal bearing races to ensure a smooth action and precise alignment) and a thick glass plate for the applicator face. Disks that have been labelled with this mechanism are tested for balance (I use a pinbalance tester I made myself, it spins the disk up to 6,000 RPM and measures any vibration due to out-of-balance, deviation is sensed via laser pointer & sensor pairs - two of each).
