You could try Nero Burning Rom instead. Convert to DVD using another tool. If you still get low volume level you can drop the .avi on GoldWave 4.26 and convert it to .wav or .mp3 file and up the volume at the same time. Then use something like TMPGEnc Plus to convert to DVD. You load the original .avi as the video file in the wizard and the .wav or .mp3 you made with GoldWave, as the audio file. But see a TMPGEnc Plus guide for setting Environment options the first time you use it. For some reason the default settings don't work all that well for .avi input. There are guides on this site and on www.videohelp.com too.

Yeah thanks for the advice. I used to use tmpgenc but i found that nero vision express is easier to use and it has better quality than tmpgenc

In that case I'd suggest going back to the old version. Unless you can find a tool that will adjust the audio "in place" but I haven't heard of any. Nero is weird anyway. Every time I try to upgrade Nero Burning Rom past 6603 the app disappears when files are dropped on a compilation. Speaking of which, did you check their site for a bug report? Maybe you're not the only one with this symptom.
