DVD won't play on another DVD player

    I have a new laptop with Vista. I used DVD shrink and then burned a DVD but it won't play on my other DVD player. I am new to this stuff and do not understand a lot of the tech. terms. Please reply so I can understand what I am to do.

    what film was it?

    what dvdr brand was used?

    does it play on pc?

    need lots more info please... and any log files posted here
