I need to know how to get my windows movie maker to recognize my external dvd writer. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Windows Movie Maker captures video from video source (camera, vcr hooked into the computer, etc.) or you can add videos from the hard drive! It then allows you to edit and convert to DVD. I don't think it will convert DVD to DVD! here are the support files that can be imported WMM won't recognize your drive for importing files. You would have to put the files (that are supported by WMM) onto the hard drive and then import to WMM. but if you are looking for WMM to burn to DVD, first you must hit the SAVE TO DVD option and make sure you have a blank DVD in your burner! WMM will save the movie to a temp file and then a pop up screen will come up with your drive (or you can choose your drive from the drop down menu on the pop up)and select your burning speed and so forth! you don't give much information on what you are doing. you can also get this information by reading the HELP files in the HELP MENU!
