    Hi

I have a DELL LATITUDE D505(Windows XP Professional with SP2). Recently purchased a internal NEC 3520A and a external enclosure BYTECC 5.25 inches enclosure. I have a NERO software version 6.

It shows as a usb mass storage device in my device manager. i donot see it as a drive in "my computer". i just noticed that my external enclosure says that "xternal sub system will work with MASTER IDE Drive only. please set the IDE drive to MASTER mode before you conne t the ide drive" i donot know what needs to be done in order to have that. please help!

    thanks,
    JS

check your jumper settings. jumper must be set to master. Also you can try uninstalling your USB drivers, reboot and let your O/S reinstall it.
