heres wats wrong, im dloadin films from the internet and trying to burn them to dvd for personal use, but the first time i tried when it had finished transcoding with nero it z that there wasnt enought space on the disc for the compilation, although when i first added the file it was only taking up 3.5 gig's of space. i left and then got newer software and now that ive done that my dvd writer is not being recognised. but it was being recognised when i first installed the new software. any1 know what is wrong? my basic computer specs are,1.8ghz amd sempron processor, 512mb ddr2 ram, 80 gig hdd, 16x dvd rewriter.
i tried that but it didnt seem to be the answer, the only way to update is to buy the newer version. but now my computer thinks that my dvd rewriter is just a normal drive. i don't know whats going on. its really baffled me now!
ok. i dont know wat u mean by remove it from device manager, cos all i can do is disable uninstall it etc...
delete or uninstall the drive from the device manager than restart windows to reload its own driver. did you uninstall the older nero before loading the newer one??
yeh i uninstall the old nero first. my disc drive is still only coming up as a drive. and this wont let me show u a screen shot. its really strange one minute its working the next it isnt, i really dont understand it at all.if u can tell me how to put in a screen shot i can show you wat i mean.
[bold]shorty_05[/bold] How to do a screen shot. Alt-Print Screen for the open window only Ctrl-Print Screen for the whole screen Use MS Paint, on new blank page click edit then click paste.
it comes up in device manager as the dvdrw drive. nec DVD_RW ND 3500AD. something has come to shine, when i look into my computer it says DVD-RW. but wen i put in a blank DVD or DVD-RW in it turns to CD Drive.
sorry mate ive given you the wrong end of the stick. i know how to make a Screen shot i jus dunno how to put it into this. sorry.
You have to upload the picture to a website first. Usually your ISP gives you a website to call your own and this is where you would first send it. Then you would reply in here using that address where the picture is located such as: [img*]http://www.shorty_05website.com/screenshotpic.jpg[/img*] You have to remove the * for it to post here.
oh yeh, ty, but i havent modified tht piece of web space i was given will i still be able to upload it?
I can't answer for your ISP and the hows and whys of what they have given you but I'm sure that they can. Go to their website and see what their instructions are for uploaded or setting it up in the first place. Good luck.
