I have W2K SP3. 392 MB PC800 RAM 80 GB and a 20 GB WD HDD TDK 440N DVD Writer. Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS Video I am unable to burn a DVD using DVX 1.5.2. I will go through the process of copying the disk. When you need to insert blank media it acts like you never put blank meida in the drive and comes up with an error: Cannot Get Disk and Track Information Selection Timeout Has Occured Check Cables and Power. The drives records fine with other software. I am unable to backup any DVD's however. I am fairly new to this any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott
The following checks may help:- 1) If you are using Nero as your burner make sure this is checked in 'Advanced options'. 2) Check in 'properties' and 'compatibility' that the programme is set to be compatible with your OS. 3)I assume DVDXCopy is identifying your write drive correctly? 4) Are you ticking 'output disc is ready' and having the disc already inserted or are you burning with the same drive? 5) Have you tried changing the media? 6) If the above doesn't work try uninstalling (completely) and re-installing DVDXCopy. If none of the above changes anything you should contact 321 studios at their support email address - they are usually pretty good. Good luck.
I uninstalled NERO. I have reisntalled DXC. DXC is seeing my drive just as W2K does: TDKDVDRW0404N I am using the same drive to read and write. When it tells me to put blank media in it never reconizes the media. I have tried DVD+R, DVD-R and have the same problem. Thanks, Scott
Why did you uninstall Nero? What burning software are you using? I assume whatever you are using is recognising your drive? If so I think you then need to contact 321.
well if scott is using dvd x copy it is the burning software. i also have a tdk dvd writer and i have no problems with 321 sutdios products. i have one question for srickert.... is that your only disk drive because if you have a dvd rom and then a dvd burner then it is easier. it would help to know that if you plan to make a back up of a dvd then you need DVD+R if you could re-image your computer that would be helpful because you may have incorrectly uninstalled nero or messed up the drivers if you could already have the blank DVD+R in the burner then the process would go easier as for the errors you are getting i have little understanding to what your problem is. i think there is a problem with the copying to your HD or as you put the blank DVD+R in the driver does some other program pop that might busy your system...if so disable the programs please respond if any of these helped or if i could try to further clear anything up
