dvd x copy platinum edition trouble?

    I have been using this since it came out never had any trouble but now i try to burn a dvd and i get errors saying cant read sectors...i tried re installing software didnt help....can my burner be shot....its a sony dru-510a and its a few years old....any help would be appriciated email me at askingtogetbanned@afterdawn.com
