I know this is probably very simple but with the expense of DL's I'd like to get it right the first time.I've read the threads on converting with shrink and dvdd. Would I just use those programs ? Any suggestions are appreciated :)Wasn't sure because I don't have to reduce the files in the movie to fit
    on the DL

You don't need to shrink it.
    Decrypt if necessary, burn.
    It's a direct 1:1 copy.

This will not work. Both sides of the DVD 10 probably have their own menu options. If you try to merge them you will have a problem. If you just want to join two parts of a movie(without menues or extras), and it is bigger than 4464mb uncompressed then you may want to consider backing it up with a DL disc. Otherwise, just use a single layer disc.

I'm in the process of using this procedure....
http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/dvd10todvd5.html Just slipping main movie titles in witch added up to 8.15 G. I think there would be a conflict with adding all other titles and subtitles in. Don't really need them anyway. They would have fit though.

I'll let you know how it works
