    Ok, here's this:

I have recently ripped & burnt a 16:9 movie into a .avi file without much trouble, but I{m getting a huge headache when it comes to ripping 4:3 movies.
The problem comes when using DVD2AVI; When saving the project, the process of downmixing from 48 to 44 takes a surprisingly short time (perhaps 2 or 3 minutes tops!).... so there's defenetely a problem here....

Can somebody help? does it make sense to any of you guys?

    thanx

When this happens to me, it is always because the soundtrack is located on Track 2 - not Track 1. It processes very quickly, as you report, and I end up with a .d2v, but no .wav.

    Try Track 2.
