With OSX Leopard I have been using Handbrake to rip opera DVD clips, editing them in iMovie (6), and burning them with iDVD. I have run up against a 2004 Opus Arte recording in which my video copies are fine but the audio is garbled. I tried Fairmount and the trial version of DVD2oneX2, with the same result. Would the retail version of DTOX likely be any better? Any other ideas? Thanks.

The registered/retail versions should be about the same as the trials.

Thanks, LOCOENG. I was afraid that was the case. The protection on this recording has proven to be very tough. Nothing I have tried has worked.

    Hello, waspc:

Give the latest version of MacTheRipper a try. If that fails - and this may sound like heresy to a Mac user - give AnyDVD (a Windows application) a try.

Many thanks, David456. I'll try those.
